SCRIPTURES:
PLEASE READ ISAIAH 61
This chapter of Isaiah reveals the Father's heart. God sent His son Jesus to bring good news to the brokenhearted, declaring freedom to the captives and opening the prison to those who have been bound. I have seen that captivity can be spiritual, emotional or physical. Captivity can show up as an addiction, compulsion, confusion, disease or sickness. The Father sent His Son to bring comfort to all who mourn, give beauty for ashes, joy for mourning and praise for heaviness. The Father wants those who are willing to become His children and all who are willing to receive deliverance that His glory or His goodness may be displayed in their lives. For those who have suffered shame, He wants to give honor and joy. God's plan is that when people look upon you and your life, they will say: "they are the posterity whom the Lord has blessed". The Father will cause this to spring forth before all the nations. Now that is good news!
