Recently a new phase of my life has begun — something I never would have thought to do: I have spoken at a halfway house and rehab center. What a pleasure sharing with people that wherever you find yourself in life right now, it is not the final say for you. You may be broken, torn, busted or abused. There may be something you have done or something done to you that has caused a feeling of hopelessness, worthlessness or loss. Perhaps destructive things were spoken over your life by you or someone else that has brought you to a place of brokenness. The good news is this: God has an awesome plan that will make your end better than your beginning. If you let Him, He will give you beauty for ashes, joy for a spirit of mourning and hope for the future.
Only after sharing this information, along with the process of paper mache and the way God works in a person's life, do I then show a couple of examples of my work. During my presentations, I bring torn pieces of paper to make sure everyone understands and sees that something good can come out of brokenness and the final result can be far better than the beginning. The verses in Isaiah 61 (shown on my website's inspirational page) are what I share because they show the Father's heart and what He wants to do to bring a beautiful transformation in a person’s life.
